Your Secure Starting Point with Trezor Hardware Wallets

Whether you're setting up a brand-new device or recovering an existing wallet, you're in the right place. This official guide will walk you through every step to securely activate and use your Trezor hardware wallet—giving you full control over your digital assets.

🔌 1. Connect Your Device

Start by plugging your Trezor (Model T or Model One) into your computer using the USB cable provided in the box.

💻 2. Download Trezor Suite

To manage your crypto securely, download the official Trezor Suite application:

  • Download for Windows / macOS / Linux

Trezor Suite is your control center for sending, receiving, and tracking crypto assets securely.

⚙️ 3. Install Firmware

If this is your first time using the device, you'll be prompted to install the latest firmware. Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm the firmware update on your Trezor screen.

🔐 4. Create or Recover Your Wallet

  • Create New Wallet: Generate a new wallet with a unique recovery seed.
  • Recover Wallet: Use your 12-, 18-, or 24-word recovery phrase to restore a previous wallet.

🧾 5. Backup Your Recovery Seed

You’ll be shown a recovery seed—write it down and store it safely offline. This is your only backup. Trezor will never ask for it.

Important: Never share your recovery seed. Anyone with this information can access your funds.

🔒 6. Set a PIN

Choose a secure PIN to protect your device. This will be required every time you connect your Trezor.

🚀 7. Start Using Trezor Suite

Once set up, you can use Trezor Suite to:

  • Send and receive cryptocurrencies
  • Monitor your portfolio
  • Access advanced features like coin control and Tor support

🛡️ Stay Secure

  • Bookmark this page: https://trezor.io/start
  • Only use Trezor Suite downloaded from our official site.
  • Never enter your recovery seed online—except directly on your Trezor device screen.
